Chewsday
Reviews
Every week I review a food product from Australian supermarkets, to help you understand what you’re buying for your family. Think of Chewsday Reviews as a way to easily understand what’s in the food you buy, without any fear mongering or misinformation.
I believe that there’s room for all foods in our diet, so I’ll never label foods as good or bad. What I do like to do is explain what’s actually in the food, and compare it to guidelines, so that you can work out if it’s a food you want to buy for your family.
I rate the foods with a series of emojis, rather than a ranking system, because often there isn’t a perfect summary for a food. Each emoji relates to a part of the review, but sometimes this can be a bit cryptic if my perfect emoji doesn’t exist yet. I do this deliberately. Remember that food, nutrition and eating are complex things and can’t be reduced to a simple yes or no.
As a Paediatric Dietitian, I’m committed to providing evidence-based food reviews. I never accept payment for these and they’ll always be free. If you love my Chewsday Reviews, please share with your friends.
